We Will Not Go Down

بسم الله الرحمن الحيم

A blinding flash of white light,
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight,
People running for cover,
Not knowing whether they're dead of alive,

They came with their tanks and their planes,
With ravaging fiery flames,
And nothing remains,
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze,

We will not go down,
In the night without a fight,
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools,
But our spirit will never die,
We will not go down,
In Gaza tonight.

Women and children alike,
Murdered and massacred night after night,
While the so-called leaders of country afar,
Debated on who's wrong or right,

But their powerless words were in vain,
And the bombs fell down like acid rain,
But through the tears and the blood and the pain,
We can still hear that voice through the smoky haze,

We will not go down,
In the night without a fight,
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools,
But our spirit will never die,
We will not go down,
In Gaza tonight.

They will not go down. So do we, ain't we?

Peace

Language Barrier?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Being a medical student is really amusing. Getting know about human bodies is one of the best things I ever experience in life. No wonder Al-Imam As-Syafie claimed medicine as one of the most important branches of knowledge. In fact, advancement of medical care is always associated with better development of a country as it serves better quality of life. Medical practitioners deal directly with human being. They talk, communicate, touch, examine and even open human bodies. Communication is inevitable, it is a part of daily routines, so as improving communication is obliged for every medical practitioners especially doctors. A medical student who does not give reasonable effort to improve communication skills cannot be accepted. It is completely unethical to touch someone, especially involving private areas, when the patient is not feeling comfortable with the doctor. The patient has no choice that he needs to be examined but the doctor should make the pa

Milestones in Life

We all have milestones in life. From the moment we got out of our mothers' womb, we already had out first milestone, which is moving from womb to world. From that moment onwards, we start crying, sitting, crawling, walking, running and speaking. Then, entering school, college and the list goes on. These milestones actually help us focus and play a role as a motivation for us to reach them. If none of these milestones existed, life would be dull and nonexiciting as we had nothing to look for in short time. However, they are not the end of the story. Instead, just footsteps to reach the final goal. For me as a muslim, my final goal is the hereafter. All of the things I might encounter in this world are not the ultimate goal. "Know that that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion.." (Al-Hadid:20). Knowing this fact is extremely important as to make us realise where to put things on its place accordingly. Believe me, those milestones will keep changing

Weird Election

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Usually when someone becomes a nominee for a particular election, he/she does so as to win and bring something to serve the community. At the time he/she makes the decision he/she should already have support from at least number of persons in the community. Having said that, the election that currently running in my place now is quite weird. The nominee is partially forced to participate and I am forced to be the penyokong .  So irony.
