Communication

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

It is the time to change our communication skill to a better one. As everyday we are inevitably going to face people and need to be comunicated with each other physically or verbally, communication is always needed to be improved.

The basic general concept for me is to speak good or remain silent just like what the prophet has mentioned. This is the simplest way of improving communication. For example, it is just unnecessary to give an unpleasant comment early in the morning on a person who wears new shirt. His whole day may be affected and he may loose his positive mood. The easier, better way is to just say nothing. Or to sarcastically pointing in public, someone's inability to do things that he or she should have get used of like speaking in Arabic after 5 years staying in Egypt. Those are just unnecessary things without significant reasons to be mentioned.

As words of wisdom sounds, words are sharper than swords. It really is. By just changing some words in our conversations, a big change could happen, or by removing some. A good communication is the one gives positive mood to someone. When doing dakwah, we are taught to deliver good news before threats. So does in any conversation. We should try to avoid demeaning words or expressions.

Build positive wave in the community so as to make everboody feels alive and like having hope after whatever silly or bad things happened to them back then. Simple, isn't it?

The very first words of Rasulullah after the establisment of city of Madinah were really making everbody feeling alive;

أفشوا السلام وأطعموا الطعام وصلوا الأرحام وصلوا الليل والناس نيام تدخل الجنة بالسلام

Spread salam, feed the hungry, be in touch with your kin,and pray while people are sleep at night, you shall enter paradise peacefully.

Do not raise voice unnecessarily, choose wise words, and discuss good topics. If none of these exist, seriously, say nothing is the best word.

Milestones in Life

We all have milestones in life. From the moment we got out of our mothers' womb, we already had out first milestone, which is moving from womb to world. From that moment onwards, we start crying, sitting, crawling, walking, running and speaking. Then, entering school, college and the list goes on. These milestones actually help us focus and play a role as a motivation for us to reach them. If none of these milestones existed, life would be dull and nonexiciting as we had nothing to look for in short time. However, they are not the end of the story. Instead, just footsteps to reach the final goal. For me as a muslim, my final goal is the hereafter. All of the things I might encounter in this world are not the ultimate goal. "Know that that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion.." (Al-Hadid:20). Knowing this fact is extremely important as to make us realise where to put things on its place accordingly. Believe me, those milestones will keep changing

Language Barrier?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Being a medical student is really amusing. Getting know about human bodies is one of the best things I ever experience in life. No wonder Al-Imam As-Syafie claimed medicine as one of the most important branches of knowledge. In fact, advancement of medical care is always associated with better development of a country as it serves better quality of life. Medical practitioners deal directly with human being. They talk, communicate, touch, examine and even open human bodies. Communication is inevitable, it is a part of daily routines, so as improving communication is obliged for every medical practitioners especially doctors. A medical student who does not give reasonable effort to improve communication skills cannot be accepted. It is completely unethical to touch someone, especially involving private areas, when the patient is not feeling comfortable with the doctor. The patient has no choice that he needs to be examined but the doctor should make the pa
