The Conflict Between Truth And Falsehood

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Last time, we had an interesting discussion during usrah at one of our members' apartment in Hayyu Thamin. The discussion circulated around truth and falsehood, and the conflict that happens in between them. This is a very common issue presenting in the society, particularly among Muslim in Malaysia, also including other Muslim all around the world.

The current world we are living in is not painted as white and black. There is so many grey zone in between. Looking at religious texts as white and black is a kind of dangerous approach, as one could easily put labels on different groups or people.

The distinction is not between believers and non-believers. That is quite apparent, but when it comes to different groups among Muslims, dubiety starts to knock the door. Which group is the truest, or nearest to the truth? We have no one to give final word or to decide which of them is the best. Unlike during the era of prophet, it was obvious that whoever with the side of prophet was on the right side while whoever against prophet was against the truth.

Sometimes, we are convinced with our side after being explained all the rationale behind every actions. Then, when the other side gives its rationale, it eventually makes us think again.

All of these doubts and ambiguities oftenly make people being confused and decide not to participate at all afterhand, especially when this issue is being used by certain parties for any personal reasons.

So, what to do?

Keep learning and searching for the truth. Always be open for any kindness from any sources. Hold your words and stop judging people. Finally, always pray that Allah guides us to the truth. He never wastes every effort aiming His redha.

اللهم أرنا الحق حقا وارزقنا اتباعه وأرنا الباطل باطلا وارزقنا اجتنابه

Language Barrier?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Being a medical student is really amusing. Getting know about human bodies is one of the best things I ever experience in life. No wonder Al-Imam As-Syafie claimed medicine as one of the most important branches of knowledge. In fact, advancement of medical care is always associated with better development of a country as it serves better quality of life. Medical practitioners deal directly with human being. They talk, communicate, touch, examine and even open human bodies. Communication is inevitable, it is a part of daily routines, so as improving communication is obliged for every medical practitioners especially doctors. A medical student who does not give reasonable effort to improve communication skills cannot be accepted. It is completely unethical to touch someone, especially involving private areas, when the patient is not feeling comfortable with the doctor. The patient has no choice that he needs to be examined but the doctor should make the pa

Milestones in Life

We all have milestones in life. From the moment we got out of our mothers' womb, we already had out first milestone, which is moving from womb to world. From that moment onwards, we start crying, sitting, crawling, walking, running and speaking. Then, entering school, college and the list goes on. These milestones actually help us focus and play a role as a motivation for us to reach them. If none of these milestones existed, life would be dull and nonexiciting as we had nothing to look for in short time. However, they are not the end of the story. Instead, just footsteps to reach the final goal. For me as a muslim, my final goal is the hereafter. All of the things I might encounter in this world are not the ultimate goal. "Know that that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion.." (Al-Hadid:20). Knowing this fact is extremely important as to make us realise where to put things on its place accordingly. Believe me, those milestones will keep changing
