What Kind Of Doctor You Want To Be?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This questions keeps singing in my head. Still I don't know what kind of doctor I want to be or should I be. Being a doctor is tough especially when being a specialist in any critical specialities as Obstetric and Gynaecology, Cardiology and Surgery. One of the biggest concerns is time. Do I just want to be in the hospital serving physically unhealty people all day? When to serve people outside the hospital?

I can't merge those two groups of people, in the hospital and outside the hospital. The population going to hospitals is too small and most of the problem don't originate from these people. Since I am always taught to directly serve people in the society, I just can't imagine how to do so when being inside the hospital most of the time.

Of course serving sick people is a very undeniable noble job. Many hadith telling us to visit sick people and give them present. Their prayers are very precious. However, our deen doesn't teach us to just do good deeds but to do the most important one. The government is not doing its job well, social problems are saturating and they badly need a guide. I can play my role in the hospital, my other colleagues will do the rest. Will that sufficient?

This thing bothers me quite hard. The journey of searching the ultimate and productive way to serve the society is an endless job. Current Mursyidul Am is a veterinarian, not far from my future career and he did very well in his life. The conflict between being a doctor and lack of chance of serving society is due to lack of understanding the thariq amal. I do and always believe that medicine is the best field for me. The challenge is to figure out the best way to contribute through this noble field.

Language Barrier?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Being a medical student is really amusing. Getting know about human bodies is one of the best things I ever experience in life. No wonder Al-Imam As-Syafie claimed medicine as one of the most important branches of knowledge. In fact, advancement of medical care is always associated with better development of a country as it serves better quality of life. Medical practitioners deal directly with human being. They talk, communicate, touch, examine and even open human bodies. Communication is inevitable, it is a part of daily routines, so as improving communication is obliged for every medical practitioners especially doctors. A medical student who does not give reasonable effort to improve communication skills cannot be accepted. It is completely unethical to touch someone, especially involving private areas, when the patient is not feeling comfortable with the doctor. The patient has no choice that he needs to be examined but the doctor should make the pa...

The Best Milk, Chocolate And Juice In The World

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم For me, the best milk in the world is Bukhaira or Egyptians pronounce it bi-khi-ruh, the best chocolate is Flutes and the best juice is orange juice branded Beyti or sometimes Enjoy is pretty good but I rather choose Beyti. If somebody wants to cheer me up, it's more than enough for him/her to give me these things. I will surely be very happy but if you see any homeless or people who are more in need than me, please prioritize them and ignore me.
